In late June fifteen members of the Kelowna ATV Club did a two day ride in the mountains around Greenwood, BC. We were hosted by members of the Greenwood ATV Club who led us on their trails (Thanks to John, Pete and other members of the Greenwood club for organizing the rides and taking us on them). On the Friday evening we met at the RV park for a get-together and on the Saturday evening a BBQ (Thanks to Greg and Jackie for letting us use their BBQ and site). The first day saw us riding in the mountains to the west of Greenwood where we saw the old “Mother Lode” mine and the ‘Hells Bells” at the old smelter in Greenwood. The second day we rode east of Greenwood and saw the massive “Phoenix” pit and the “Oro Denoro” mine workings. There was lots of great riding on various trails on both days.
