THE CLUB
Kelowna ATV Club was started in 2015 and is located in Kelowna, BC. The Club is associated with and is an avid supporter of ATVBC, our provincial organization.
The main focus of the club is riding. The Club rides mainly in the Central Okanagan area but also elsewhere in the Okanagan and BC. The Club rides include:
Weekday and weekend rides in the greater Kelowna area.
Weekend rides outside of the Kelowna area.:
Multi-day rides somewhere in BC at least once a summer.
"Exploration" rides to check out new trails and areas to ride.
"Ad-hoc" rides where several members get together, on their own, to ride
Joint club rides with other ATVBC affilated clubs.
The Club is active in preserving the environment and wildlife habitat, sharing the wilderness with other users, in protecting our rights and privileges to access the wilderness and in promoting responsible and safe operation of ATVs.
The Club promotes responsible all terrain vehicle use. Riders must must carry proof of $200,000 liability insurance for riding on forest service roads, driver’s license and quad riders must wear a helmet (side x side riders aren’t required by law to wear helmets but we recommend they do).
Interested in the Club? Come out and and check us out before joining. Any member of ATVBC is welcome at any time..
Club members have all sorts of ATVs and UTVs. Some rides will be restricted to machines not exceeding ~50” in width due to narrow trail conditions. Any ride with this restriction will be posted as “not accessible for machines >50" in width”. If you do have a wide machine please carry a chainsaw and learn how to use it. The skinny machines don't like to do all the work to clear trail for wide machines.
